Orchestral Detail, Balanced Acoustics & Recording Versatility
Studio 2 at Slovak Radio in Bratislava combines the space required for orchestral recording with clear, controlled acoustics. Home to many of the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra’s soundtrack sessions, it offers a versatile setting for film scores, video game music, classical repertoire and pop productions.
-
Flexible Capacity: Ideally suited to orchestras of up to 65 musicians, choirs of up to 30 singers, chamber ensembles and vocal soloists, with layouts adapted to each project.
-
Balanced Acoustics: A reverberation time of approximately 1.5 seconds provides a balance of natural warmth and definition, capturing instrumental detail while retaining a cohesive orchestral sound.
-
Versatile Recording: Particularly well suited to full orchestral sessions, separate section recording and instrumental overdubs, including productions that combine live musicians with vocals, electronic instruments or sampled elements.
Studio 2’s shorter reverberation time offers a more controlled acoustic environment than Studio 1. This makes it a practical choice for scores requiring rhythmic precision, transparent textures and flexibility during editing and mixing.
The studio has hosted BSO recordings for projects including Netflix’s ONE PIECE, 12 Strong, Three Wishes for Cinderella and Torrente Presidente. Its combination of orchestral capacity and acoustic clarity supports a wide range of musical styles, from intimate passages to powerful cinematic writing.
