Since its creation the Symphonic Orchestra has aimed to work as a modern orchestra which, besides carrying out the activities of a normal symphonic orchestra, has also concentrated in recording music of other styles such as pop music or music for cinema and video games. This makes the orchestra one of the few orchestras in Central Europe performing concert activities while simultaneously carrying out recordings. |

The BSO in the 15 International Festival of Music in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria The Bratislava Symphony Orchestra made two concerts in July in the Festival of Music, Dance and Theatre in Las Palmas de Gran Canarias (Spain). The first concert on 22.7.2011 will be about Film Music and the second on 23.7.2011 a Zarzuela Gala with the soprano Ana Carolina Diz and the tenor Francisco Corujo.
