Festival Las Palmas de Gran Canarias 22 & 23 July 2011

festivalcanariasThe Bratislava Symphony Orchestra will participate in the 15th International Festival of Theatre, Music and Dance in Las Palmas de Gran Canarias be held between July 1 and August 12, 2011 in Las Palmas de Gran Canarias (Spain). The director of the concerts will be Spanish David Hernando Rico, turn music director of the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra.
The orchestra performed two concerts, the first on July 22, where he will play a selection of the most famous soundtracks in recent years: Hook, Herry Potter, Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Schindler’s List or the Chronicles of Narnia, among others.
The second concert will take place on July 23, this concert will consist of an Operetta Gala with the participation of Argentina Vienna-based soprano Ana Carolina Diz and Spanish tenor Francisco Corujo. In this concert will be interpreted preludes, arias and duets from the repertoire known typically Spanish. Ballads like “De España vengo,” “No puede ser… …” “Me llaman la Primorosa” … duets like “Amor mi raza sabe conquistar”, the duo Dolores … and preludes as “El Tambor de Granaderos” or through “La Leyenda del Beso”.
The concerts take place in the Parque de Santa Catalina 22 and July 23 at 20:30.
